Advent by Candlelight
December 4, 2019, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Advent by Candlelight is a special evening for women to become renewed and refreshed before the Christmas rush begins. This is an opportunity to relax and refocus on the season of Advent – a wonderful time of waiting and anticipation. 2019 Waterford Area Crop Walk
This year’s CROP Walk will be on Sunday, October 6th at 2 pm; registration begins at 1:30 pm. You can participate by gathering sponsors and walking one of the designed routes for either five miles, three miles or one mile. Or, if unable to walk, you can “rock” your support in a rocking chair for a designated time. All ages are welcome to participate. For more information, contact Rev. Conference Update on Judicial Council Ruling
Last week, The Judicial Council of The United Methodist Church handed down its ruling on the constitutionality of the Traditional Plan that was passed in March during the special session of the General Conference. The Council ruled that some of the Traditional Plan petitions were constitutional, and some were not. Petitions found constitutional and taking effect January 1, 2020 included: An expansion of the definition of a “self-avowed practicing homosexual” to include persons in same-sex marriages or civil unions.
