Methodist Children’s Home Society Christmas Wish List
For many years the Central Congregation has been very generous in providing gifts for the boys at the Methodist Children’s Home in Redford. In past years, members would pick up a snowman ornament with a gift “wish” and bring the gifts to the church. The gifts would then be delivered to the Home. We also provided $25 Scrip gift cards for each of the boys.
Our request this year will be different. Due to COVID, we will only provide gift cards in denominations of $25 and up. The Cottage Parents can then do the shopping from the boys’ wish lists. We would like to provide one or more gift cards for each of the 60+ boys.
To help this year, purchase gift cards from Scrip! That will benefit Central too. Please do not purchase gift cards elsewhere!
Two ways you can purchase the gift cards:
- Stop by the office, Mon-Thurs and give your $25+ check or cash to Rachel.
- Mail your $25+ check to the church. Please be sure to put MCHS on the Memo line.
Do not include monies for the gift cards with your regular offering.
The deadline is November 30th so the gift cards can be ordered and delivered to the home with plenty of time for the Cottage parents to do the shopping.
