The focus of the second and third segments of the High Priestly Prayer of Jesus is his current disciples and followers and the future disciples and followers. That means Jesus was aware that his mission and ministry were first dependent on his disciples and that mission and ministry would last far beyond his 33 years on earth. The point I will drive home is that Jesus has prayed for us! Jesus has prayed for us while he was on earth and still does to this day! The spiritual discipline for this week will be Intercessory Prayer, which means praying for others. Based on John 17:12-25.
