The Geography of Joy

About 10 years ago, former National Public Radio foreign correspondent Eric Weiner made an organized attempt to study the geographical areas where people seem to be the happiest. Maybe it would be more accurate to say he went in pursuit of where happiness makes its home. In the Declaration of Independence, we Americans asserted our right to the pursuit of happiness. Actually catching it, however, is another thing altogether. Happiness is indeed a sometimes elusive quality, but that seldom keeps us from trying to grab it. Based on Galatians 5:1, 13-24 and Acts 16:16-34.
