Jesus casts seven demons out of Mary of Magdala. She becomes one of his most faithful followers, going with him all the way to the cross. She is the first to know Jesus had risen and reported that to his disciples Peter and John. What more can we say? Mary Magdalene was blessed among women to be the first to whom the risen Jesus appeared and since she shared that fact, it has been the good news that we are all called to share, “Christ is Risen! Indeed!” Based on John 20:1-18.
