Refugee Book Drive a Tremendous Success

Refugee Book Drive a Tremendous Success

Nearly 600 Books Collected

Agencies like Samaritas (Lutheran) and the Syrian American Rescue Network (SARN) are continuing to support southeast Michigan refugee families to help them become literate and successful citizens. During the recent book drive, Central donated two large bins of new and like-new children’s books. Together with other agencies, the book drive collected close to 600 books. The books will be divided between the two agencies and be distributed to refugee families. Thank you for your generous support! The Waterford Refugee Welcome Alliance will be collecting diapers in April, so keep an eye out for the blue bins.
