Rev. Mary Gibson became the lead pastor at CUMC in July of 2026. Before joining Central UMC, Rev. Mary was the pastor at South Lyon First UMC, Mt. Clemens First UMC, and Tawas United Methodist Church. She has also been the associate pastor at Farmington Hills: Narden Park UMC and Grosse Pointe UMC.
Rev. Mary preaches, leads worship, provides pastoral care, and supervises the work of the church, helping the congregation fulfill its mission. In her free time, Mary enjoys kayaking, spending time with friends, painting, & scrapbooking.
Mary has two grown daughters, Eleanor & Heather.
