During the four messages of our Jesus and We campaign, we considered what it would mean to be faith-filled, big-thinking, bet the farm risk-taking followers of Christ, asked whether we are spiritual consumers or spiritual contributors, explored what it means to be irrationally generous, and examined what it looks like to do anything (short of sin) to change our world with the love of Christ.
In his greeting to the people of Philippi (Philippians 1:3-7), Paul recognized that the people of Philippi are both partners and partakers. They are partakers of God’s grace (Phil. 1:7) and partners in the gospel (Phil. 1:5). The work of the church is none other than our partnering with Jesus in proclaiming the reality of God’s kingdom on earth. We are enabled to do this work because we have known God’s grace and are empowered by God’s Holy Spirit.
The link below is to our Generosity Campaign Card. It is the way in which you can express your thanksgiving to God, and reflect God’s generosity to others in the world. In the meantime, please continue to pray for our leadership and staff as we make plans for the rest of this year and the year to come; and pray for yourselves and how you might partner with God and Central Church as we continue to be the presence of Christ in the world. We are partakers of God’s grace and partners in the Gospel!
Because of Christ,
