The Montrose United Methodist Church will be hosting an Early Response Training session on Saturday April 21st from 9-5. This training is provided by the UM Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and UM Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) to facilitate our mission of “Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.”
Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) assist disaster survivors in the early days after an event occurs, while providing a caring Christian presence. ERTs usually work in their local districts, but may work with other districts upon request. Individual team members are free to choose when and where they help.
Background checks will be completed during the class, and UMCOR identification badges will be issued upon completion.
If you missed the training at Central UMC but would like to become an Early Responder, consider registering for this class. The cost is $35. Financial assistance can be provided, as needed. If you would like to attend, call, text, or email John Lund — [email protected] or 810-691-9903.
