Ash Wednesday begins Lent, a 40-day season of prayer, fasting and repentance that symbolizes Jesus’ time in the wilderness. The focus of Lent is on spiritual preparation, self-discipline and increase charity in preparation for Christ’s resurrection.
Drive Thru Coffee and Ashes
Stop by in between 6:30am and 9am for Drive Thru Coffee and Ashes. You’ll get a fresh cup of hot coffee prepared just the way you like, along with the imposition of ashes, an Ash Wednesday blessing from Pastor Jack, and information about the observance of Ash Wednesday.
The imposition of ashes will also be available in the Chapel from 9am – noon.
Ash Wednesday Worship
Join us in the Sanctuary at 7pm for Ash Wednesday worship. Pastor Jack will begin a special Lenten Message Series Christ: Challenged. This message series for our times explores the challenges endured and overcome by Christ as he lived out his earthly ministry.
