The Israelites were called to live out the Yahweh-Moses-Joshua legacy through Joshua’s imperative to “Choose this day whom you will serve.” This is a recurring message of Scripture and accounts for why the lives of so many people have been transformed when they’ve opened themselves to God’s presence and guiding spirit. During this time of Stewardship, members and friends of Central Church have the Joshua Imperative before us, and we know Joshua’s response, “but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (v. 15).
