After a two-week hiatus, we will return to our series of messages on The Lord’s Prayer to study its final phrase, “For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever.” As the prayer began with the hallowing of God’s name, it ends with the same concept that his kingdom on earth, God’s power, and God’s glory are deserved by our loving Creator. After all, God gave everything to us and it remains God’s as we are God’s chosen stewards of Creation. When we declare that the kingdom, power, and glory belong to God, we commit to using our power and influence for God’s good and glorious purposes.
