Eric is a graduate of Clarkston schools and Oakland Community College. He was the organist at Joslyn Ave Presbyterian in Pontiac for a number of years until Community Presbyterian came calling with a youth choir position, then organist, then Director of Music and Organist. Eric served at Community Presbyterian for 25+ years, 23 of which as the Music Director/Organist. After studying as an adult student with Dr. Craig Symons at First United Methodist, Royal Oak and Glenn Miller at Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian, Bloomfield, he joined The American Guild of Organists. Eric served on the AGO board for a year and passed two of the comprehensive organ exams they offer. The letters after his name stand for “Colleague of the American Guild of Organists,” and it is the Guild’s equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in organ performance.
Eric is married to Lisa and they have two beautiful and bright daughters. They enjoy camping and boating trips in the summer, group family trips with friends, gardening, and hunting (for Eric). They truly enjoy all their beautiful state of Michigan has to offer in every season.
