Message:

  • The Bread of Life – Part Three: Whole Foods for Wholeness, In this passage from John’s sixth chapter, people are deciding whether or not they can really follow Jesus. Jesus is certainly the bread of life, however, people have had enough “bread” and they push away from the table and leave. The key text in the question of Jesus: “Do  you also want to go away?” Why do people find Jesus just a bit too rich for their tastes: Too filling” Too much? On the other hand, why do we stay with Jesus, when it might be easier and safer to go away? Peter’s response is telling: 1) Where would we go to find eternal life, wholeness, meaning? Nothing compares to Jesus. 2) Jesus has the words of eternal life/ What does that mean? 3) We believe and we know that Jesus is the Holy One of God. It’s a good thing to push away from the table when we’re full. But Jesus is our “bread of life.” He must be a part of our spiritual diet every day.

If You Have Streaming Issues (choppy, freezing, etc.), Check the following:

  1. Make sure that your internet isn’t being used for something else.
    • Remember, if someone is watching Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, or another streaming video service, that is taking up your Internet bandwidth. Ditto if anyone in the household is streaming music from Spotify, YouTube, or a similar service.
    • Your phone may also be using bandwidth if you’re logged into your home wireless network. And, if anyone is streaming video or music to a phone or tablet, that’s using your Internet bandwidth. If anyone is having a Zoom meeting, that is using your bandwidth.
  2. If you begin watching the stream and it freezes and doesn’t “catch up” in 30 seconds or so, refresh your browser. We’ve had folks report that this has solved their issue.
  3. If you’re on the stream but don’t see the live video, just a black screen, refresh your browser. We start the live stream at 10:25, but there is a short delay. If you’ve been waiting a while and still don’t see the live video, leave the page, then come back.
