Gun Safety Advocacy

On Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023 nine people from Central Church traveled to Lansing to join other United Methodists in advocating for common sense gun safety legislation. The group had several meetings scheduled with our state Senators and Representatives to have discussions around proposed gun safety legislation that was moving through both chambers. Lenten Food Drive

Lent is a season for both giving and giving up food. Count down the days to Easter by adding an item each day to a bag. On Sundays during Lent place your donations on the table at the front of the sanctuary. Donated items will be blessed each Sunday and distributed to our neighbors during the week. Jail and Outreach Ministry Easter Baskets

Central will be collecting items for Easter Baskets for children of inmates, now through Sunday, March 26th. A donation basket is located in the Narthex. A suggestion of items includes: Books Coloring books Crayons Bubbles Jump ropes Small stuffed animals Small games Matchbox cars Easter baskets Basket grass Wrapped candy Packs of veggie or flower seeds Hair ornaments Bubble bath Toothpaste & toothbrush Hair combs & brushes

Ukrainian Benefit Concert

January 29th, 2023 at 3pm Join us in supporting the people of Ukraine. Soprano Olga Yalovenko, pianist Yaroslav Gnezdilov, and guest mezzo-soprano Leslie Ann Naeve are generously giving their time to provide this opportunity to experience the Music of Ukraine. There is no cost for the concert, but a free-will offering will be taken with proceeds going to the people of Ukraine through United Support for Ukraine (Hamtramck, MI) and Choir of the Resurrection (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine).
