Rev. Cora Glass

Rev. Cora Glass is excited to be joining the clergy team at Waterford Central UMC. Cora grew up in Oakland County. She attended the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills before trying to run away from Michigan winters by attending High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. At HPU, Cora received her B.A. in Non-Profit Leadership and Management. During College and before going to Seminary, Cora worked with Cass Community Social Services in Detroit, MI. Cora then moved to Evanston, Illinois to attend Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.

Cora is a provisional Deacon in the United Methodist Church and has served in ministry setting within and outside the walls of the local church. She is passionate about addressing food and housing insecurity. She advocates for God’s Sabbath rest and justice for all people. Other passions of Cora’s include intuitive painting, baking cookies, and singing songs in harmony with others.
