Alleluia Dance Choir

The Alleluia Dance Choir consists of children in grades 2 through 6. Children learn some basic dance techniques, movement to different rhythms and how to express themselves prayerfully through dance. Rehearsals take place on Thursdays from 4:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Good News Ringers Elementary and Middle School Bell Choir The Good News Ringers are students, 4th through 8th grades. Bell groups participate in worship approximately every six weeks. This is an opportunity for children to learn basics of music theory and note reading as they have fun preparing anthems for worship services. The YTBN Ringers (Youth Hand Bell Choir) are high school and college aged grades 9 and up. Ringers in this group have generally rung in the Good News group and tend to be slightly more advanced, but prior bell participation is not necessary. The Jubilate Dance Choir consists of youth in grades 7 through 12. Central United Methodist Church has two youth groups that feature fellowship opportunities as well as age-appropriate Christian education. The Youth Group is for 7th – 12th graders . Youth Group meets on Sunday evening from 5:45 – 7:30pm. In addition to Sunday sessions that feature worship, fellowship and learning, the youth groups participate in several church events, including CROP Walk (early Oct.), Trunk or Treat (late Oct.), Advent events (Nov./Dec.), workshops and special worship services.
