Kevin A. Naeve is the Music Director of Waterford Central United Methodist Church, the Executive and Artistic Director of the Early Music Festival of Detroit, an area piano teacher, the bassist and keyboardist for Savage Bliss, and a regular guest conductor for Main Street Opera Theatre. He has degrees in Music Composition from Wright State University and Orchestral Conducting from Oakland University. He has conducted for the Metropolitan Opera Workshop of Detroit, Pontiac Oakland Symphony (now the Oakland Symphony Orchestra), the Philharmonic Orchestra ‘Mihail Jora’ of Bacau, Romania, and was the Music Director for Bizarchestra (an experimental orchestra providing challenging and exciting experienced-based programming). In addition, he has received several grants to perform concerts for the American public and had his orchestral work ‘Time’ premiered by the North Carolina based Symphony of Hope for their benefit concert for the American Cancer Society. Mr. Naeve is a champion of both new and early classical music and the accessibility of quality classical, new, and world music for the public.
